Our company has been carrying on the distributorship of Sumitomo – Mitsui which developes technology and products in order make the structures more resistant to earthquakes, since 2001. Within this scope, there are two main techniques used. First one of them is, “Seismic Isolation Systems”, which are utilized in order to control the movement of structures during earthquakes by giving them an ability of moving laterally at the foundation level. The second technique is used in order to limit the vibration movement of structures under the impact of lateral forces such as earthquakes or winds. It is called as “Seismic Control Systems”.
In addition to these systems, there are also some techniques called as “Seismic Retrofit Systems”. This technique is used for existing earthquake-irresistant structures. One of the other reinforcement technique is applied with the materials of “Aramid Wrapping Sheets or Aramid Fiber Reinforced Plastic”. This tecnique is used in order to reinforce the piers of either bridges or viaducts. With the technical knowhow of our staff who was certificated with a training programme by the Japanese company of Sumitomo – Mitsui, we can make the projects and procure the foresaid devices to Turkey, and complete the application of them on-site.
